In creating this web site my endeavour has been to leave behind something for my  grandchildren, which I would have loved to have received from my grandparents. When I was born, my grandparents were all gone and little information had been  recorded about their lives. The information on these pages I have been able to glean  from relatives.historical books and the internet. 
 I trust the information is as true, as it can be, and I hope all who visit will find  something interesting and maybe learn a little
